Support for addiction and substance abuse – The Matthew Project ‘Next Steps’ at The Matthew Project, Norwich
The Matthew Project, in partnership with Public Health England, has received funding to open the Next Steps Recovery Centre, a welcoming and vibrant place, to build community, support and skills for people in recovery from substance misuse.
This Recovery Centre will be the first of its kind in Norfolk, addressing a huge unmet need in the County.
The recently-launched Recovery Support Programme (RSP) is currently being run from the partially-renovated centre and provides a programme of activities and support to those in recovery from addiction. This programme is funded by Public Health Norfolk County Council, and aims at increasing self-esteem, and building new skills and social networks.
