Support for addiction and substance abuse – The Matthew Project ‘Unity’ at The Matthew Project, Norwich
'Unity' is a specialist Drug and Alcohol Service for children, young people and their families across Norfolk, commissioned by Public Health Norfolk. The Unity Service:
Has 3 multi-disciplinary teams based in Kings Lynn, Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
Offers specialist support, advice and information for those using substances themselves.
Offers support for children and young people affected by someone else's substance misuse.
Works in partnership with Norfolk Family Carers to offer positive activities to young people affected by someone else’s substance use.
Offers training, awareness sessions and support to professionals and family members dealing with substance use.
Helps with drug and alcohol related health matters such as providing blood borne virus tests and vaccinations.
Works alongside many other agencies to ensure comprehensive support for our service users.
Provides assemblies, lessons and targeted group sessions in schools, colleges and alternative education settings.
We can provide brief interventions to support parents and carers where a child is using or affected by someone else's use.
